Heaven's Door Straight Rye was developed in collaboration with musician Bob Dylan. The whiskeys are named after his big hit "Knocking on Heaven's Door" from 1973. The bottle design shows the welded iron gate that Bob Dylan made in his Black Buffalo Ironworks studio. The rye gets an unusual finish in so-called 'cigar barrels', i.e. heavily burned oak barrels from the Vosges in France. This makes the whiskey relatively soft and mild for a rye.
