The rum was then put into ex-bourbon barrels for 27 months in a humid climate. One of only 114 bottles, the rest of this barrel was used in El Boxeador's Prizefighter blend #5. Which shares the same label but with a yellow filter.
Nose: A dense incense thick lemon curd. The incense reminds me a lot of some of the amburana finished whiskeys I have, but thankfully more muted in comparison.
Taste: A wheaty caramel lemon curd syrup. Its dense, it's rich, it's wonderful.
Finish: More of that lemon curd syrup that just coats the back of your throat and tounge easily. The heat is really minor in comparison but brings with it more citrus so it's nicely balanced.
ABV: 63% (126 Proof)
